I purchased this tv nigh 2 weeks ago to substitute a 42 inch Panasonic plasma. There are a destiny of smashing things nigh this tv, simply the one thing that matters nearly – the picture – UN65D8000 was a large disappointment. The purpose and features of this tv are great. Internet worked actually well, menus are nicely posed out and I loved the large screen. If you regard the tv straight on, the film is excellent, merely if you ride the slightest bit pass nub it washes out quickly. Negroid levels got terrible, screen uniformity issues got glaring (flashlighting and vertical banding) and colors (particularly flesh tones) are poor. Watching an episode of American Horror Level was a nightmare. I exchanged this tv for the PN64D8000 plasma and am much happier. The plasma pic is not quite equally bright, only the croak kernel viewing and colors are far superior. For me, ameliorate negro layers and color are more important than spectacularly bright whites. The plasma has a far superior picture.
